Frequently Asked Questions
Most frequent questions and answers about our Martial Arts Programs
We find that our students become more confident to stand up to bullies and have more humility and kindness to others through their martial arts lessons.
We encourage parents to watch their children in their kids martial arts lessons. We love it when parents get involved, and so do their kids! Even better… join in on some of our martial arts classes for adults. Your kids will love that you have something in common, and it’ll help grow your relationship. Additionally, if you want some “me time”… Simply drop them off and go grab a coffee. They will greet you with a huge smile when you return because they had SO much fun!
Nope! We find that our students start at varying fitness levels with different abilities and skills, and through our martial arts and self defense classes get super fit in a super fun way. It’s a fun workout, in an awesome community, that gets serious results.
Good question. Truthfully, the journey to Black Belt is a very individual path. Everyone progresses at a different pace because everyone is different themselves. What we can tell you is that there is NO judgment around here for how long a student takes to reach Black Belt… And we can also tell you that it is a VERY worthwhile journey. The self-defense skills you master can be truly life-saving, absolutely… But the skills you cultivate in striving for Black Belt, like perseverance, commitment, and self-discipline, will stick with you long after you achieve your goal!
We truly only have a certain amount of space in our martial arts training area… So the best way to guarantee your spot at our (location) location is to fill out the form on this page! We’re also ALWAYS happy to talk over the phone – we would love to chat with you about what we do and see if our martial arts classes are a good fit for you! 🙂
Great question! Make sure you bring clothes that are COMFORTABLE that you can move around to your martial arts classes! Sadly, skirts and dress pants are not made for kicking… yet 😉 Boots may be made for walking, but they are not made for kicking! 😉 Any kind of athletic clothes will do. Whatever kids run around and play in normally should be just fine! DON’T FORGET a water bottle! So important. [School name] in (location) has many different martial arts classes for kids and adults that offer a great workout and are lots of fun! Most of our students are grinning from ear to ear by the end of their class, and we’re betting you will be too!
Not at all. We don’t judge around here with our martial arts and self defense classes. In fact, many| of our best students would say they felt like that when they first started, too… So you’re totally fine! Give yourself some time and you will be ASTOUNDED by how much you improve. Our Martial Arts Instructors at all of our locations are trained to keep things very simple, so even a super un-athletic person will develop “ninja-like” skills 😉 But the best way to answer your question is to come see for yourself at our (location) location!
